Florida Swimming Officials,

We are reaching out to you about 3 things:

1)       Summer Championship Season

2)       Special Olympics

3)       2025 Membership Fee reimbursement

Summer Championship Season is almost upon us, and your help is needed to give our swimmers the best meets possible. This summer we are having a combined FLAGs, July 11-14, in Ocala, FL. Followed shortly after with Summer Senior Champs, July 18-21, also in Ocala, FL.   F.A.S.T always is a very gracious host and shows Officials that they are appreciated.

As with all LSC Championship meets we are going to be offering National Certification Evaluations during both of the meet. This is a great opportunity to improve your skills on deck in a fun and educational setting.   If you are able to help, even if only session, it would be appreciated.

Please use the following links to reserve your spot.

Also, Special Olympics of Florida is asking for our help with their upcoming swim meets across the state. Please take a look at this News Feed and if you are able to help, please contact the person in charge of that meet directly.

2025 Membership Fee Reimbursement - In October 2023, the FL House of Delegates approved to reimburse non-athlete Officials for their 2025 membership registration.

Non-athlete Officials that have served at least 8 sessions during the 2023/2024 season (9/1/2023 – 12/31/2024) at a Florida Swimming sanctioned meet will be eligible.

ONLY Florida Swimming sanctioned meets will count towards the 8 sessions.

Meets that are not eligible include:

·       Observed meets (which include high school, college, masters).

·       Approved meets (which include YMCA meets)

·       Block party meets

·       USA Swimming national meets outside of FL

Officials that pay for their individual registration will complete an online application (issued after 9/1/2024) and submit as an attachment the Transaction Receipt for the Non-athlete Official membership for the 2025 registration year. DO NOT submit an application if your club pays for your membership.

If your club does BULK renewal and pays for your non-athlete membership, the club will initiate the reimbursement process and contact the Florida Swimming office.

Applications submitted by the first of each month will have the reimbursement sent by the 20th of the month.
